Okay, that wasn't very nice. I didn't mean it, I apologize... Really, I do. Fine, don't believe me. But what can I say? I'm excited! Can you blame me? Three weeks in Hungary with a potential side trip to Austria. The food, seeing family I sort of know from the last trip, the food, European architecture, the food, a nice long break from work, and oh did I mention the food! I plan on making the valiant effort to chronicle the trip with at least 1 post a day on this site. Pardon the lack of esthetics, it was thrown together last minute; I may make tweaks along the way but I figure as long as it's readable no one will really care. I've linked it to facebook so any posts I make here will generate a link on my facebook page as well, this will save some of you the effort of having to check 2 sites to see what's going on. More importantly, it saves me the hassle of having to post to 2 different sites. 'Cause I'm lazy like that. For those of you curious about the travel details, I fly out tonight at 10:25pm with a 7 hour layover in San Fran. I know, a 7 hour layover sounds like it would suck doesn't it? As luck would have it' it's actually perfect! I participated in funding a project on Kickstarter called the Capture Camera Clip. I was bummed about the timing of events that would lead to the product being delivered while I was already on my trip. However, I found out that Peter is conveniently located and producing the product out of San Fransisco. A quick message to Peter pleading my case was all it took to arrange not only pick up of my Capture Camera Clip but he also offered a tour of the workshop. And to think, up until last week I thought my layover was in L.A. With my Capture Camera Clip in hand, and 7 hours later, I hop on a 12 hour flight to Amsterdam followed by a 55 minute layover and a 2 hour flight to Budapest. So to set expectations, I'm sure you already get the impression you're going to see a lot of food. And you will. I warn you that my experience is that Hungarian cuisine is not much to look at (but it tastes great!). I promise to intersperse pictures of scenery, architecture, and random people you don't know. Just to keep it interesting. I know food porn isn't everyone's thing. Next post from SF, or the airport if I'm really bored and need to complain about something.
