Didn't I say before I left that my goal was at least 1 post a day? I did right? Well you know what they say about even the best laid plans.

I arrived in Hungary, safe and sound, at 12:10pm local time here in Budapest. I had a relatively easy time getting to my Grand Aunt Ilonka's place and was happy to find my mobile wifi hotspot waiting for me upstairs. I was even more thrilled to get it up and running and make a test VOIP call to my mother to let her know I was alive. Sadly, the next morning, my miracle of connectivity decided it no longer wanted to play nice. I was unable to re-establish a connection to the mobile network. At the moment I am sitting in a Starbucks (with a rather bored looking grandfather) using their free wifi in an attempt to catch up and get support from Droam for my hotspot. Hopefully I'll get this all sorted out today, otherwise I'll have to re-evaluate and pounce on free wifi spots as I come across them.

However, I do owe you folks 3 days of posts. I'll put in 3 entries today covering San Fran and my first 2 days in Hungary (although day 1 was really mostly travel and a 6 hour nap).
